Introduction

Hello there! We're thrilled to guide you through the process of optimizing your images. This will involve reducing file sizes, adding alternative text, and renaming files. By following these steps, you'll be able to enhance your website's performance and improve its SEO ranking. So, let's get started!

Firstly, please navigate to SEO Suite. From there, select Speed Up from the left-hand menu, and then choose Image Optimization.

Next, click on Optimize now to start optimizing your images according to your preferences.

How to optimize images?

  • Step 1: Click the Toggle button to enable the image optimization feature.

When you select Optimize Image Automatically, the app will automatically compress the size of the image while maintaining its quality.

  • Step 2: Choose Custom Image Quality to select the quality level of the image. The image size will also be reduced accordingly.

For Optimize image for:

  • Choose Only published product images if you want the app to optimize images for products that have been published.
  • Choose All product images if you want all product images to be optimized.

How to optimize image ALT?

  • Step 1: Enable the toggle button to use the Image Alt Optimization feature.

In the Preview section, you can see a preview of the Alt tag content that will be displayed for images on the product/collection/blog post pages.

  • Step 2: For Product Image Alt, enter the Alt tag content for images on the product page.

In the Supported Variables section, you can see the values that can be used for the Alt tag of images on the product page. You can choose these instead of entering content.

For Collection Image Alt, enter the Alt tag content for images on the Collection page.

For Blog Post (Article) Image Alt, enter the Alt tag content for images on the Blog Post (Article) page.

For Other files image alt, enter the Alt tag content for other images.

To check the Alt tag in the store Admin, go to Store admin > All products > Click on Product image.

How to optimize image filename?

  • Step 1: Enable the toggle button to use the 'Optimize image filename' feature.

In the Preview section, you can see a preview of the filename that will be displayed for images on the product/collection/blog post pages.

  • Step 2: For Product Image Filename, enter the filename you want to optimize for the product images.

For Collection Image Filename, enter the filename you want to optimize for images in the collections.

  • Step 3: Once you've completed all the steps, click Save and then Optimize now.

  • Step 5: To check the file in the store admin, go to Store admin > All products > Click on Product image.
